Nuad Boran

About Traditional Thai Massage

Traditional Thai massage — Nuad Boran — is a form of bodywork with more than 2,500 years of history, rooted in Thai traditional medicine and inscribed by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2019.

It is quite different from an oil massage: you wear loose massage wear and lie on a firm floor mat, while the therapist presses along the body's energy lines ("sen") and guides you through gentle, yoga-like stretches. No oil, no undressing — just deep, rhythmic pressure from head to toe.

Perfect after a long day of sightseeing or work: stiff shoulders and lower back, heavy legs from walking all day, jet lag and poor sleep — or simply when you want to switch off.
